Announcement of Events to mark the 2011 Formula 1 in Japan

For three days from October 7 2011 (Friday) to October 9^th (Sunday) the 2011 Formula1 World Championships 15^th Japan World Prix will take place at Suzuka Circuit.

Mie Prefecture, Suzuka City, Tsu City, Kuwana City, Yokkaichi City, Kameyama City and the town of Komono, as well as other groups are working together to put on various events within Suzuka City and Suzuka Circuit itself based around the day of the race.

○F1 Themed Ink Painting and Photograph Exhibition

Date：Saturday 1 October – Sunday 9 October 10am-10pm
Where：AEON Shopping Mall – Suzuka Bell City

○The 2011 Suzuka Box Kart Grand Prix

Date： Thursday 6 October 9:30am-12:30pm
Where：Suzuka Circuit International Racing Course

○F1 Film Festival

Date: Thursday 6 October – Sunday 9 October from 7pm
Where:：MyCal Cinema Suzuka (Inside Suzuka Bell City)
We will be showing the film documenting the life of Ayrton Senna da Silva. 500 yen(includes mini popcorn)

○Pre-Race Suzuka Japan Grand Prix Festival

Date：Friday October 7 4pm-8pm
Where: The event hall inside Frespo Suzuka
Featuring Tsu Gyoza and Yokkaichi Tonteki stalls, famous items from the Tohoku region and more will be on sale.

○Tourism PR and Local Specialties On Sale

Date：Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9
Where：Suzuka Circuit

○Experience Racing Carts

Date：Monday October 10 9am-12:30pm
Where：Motor Land Suzuka
Sit in a racing cart and see demonstrations by pro racers, watch a talk show with them and more.

○Suzuka Grand Prix Clean Up Operation

Where：Around Suzuka Circuit
Participants will receive an original piece of memorabilia and special invites to events at Suzuka Circuit.

So that transport routes around the circuit remain free flowing during the Grand Prix we will be doing the following:
–       Increasing frequency of buses and rail transport
–       Creating bus lanes etc.
